The access control system consists in a range of equipment items designed to ensure physical security of premises against unauthorized use. This also includes INTERCOM and VIDEO INTERCOM systems.
The main components of the access control system are:

    • The central unit – a device all system components are connected to. It actually controls the entire structure
    • The access validation component (e.g. proximity reader – the most popular access control system peripheral used to read access cards or proximity TAGs, as well as to transmit data to the central unit). Of course there are other access validation elements falling into this category, such as the fingerprint scanners, facial recognition systems, barcode readers and so on.
    • Electromagnetic lock – electromechanical locking device controlled by the access control central unit that blocks one’s access to a particular area after receiving specific information from the card reader. It may either allow or deny access depending on the result obtained upon the verification of the user’s door access card validity.
