An important customer in ETA2U's portfolio, one of the worldwide top level producers of car components understood this fact and, after a careful selection of offers, turned to ETA2U's experts.

Initial solution 
“When we started to collaborate with our customer has was confronted with a range of problems related to the proper management of printed documents. The difficulties were related to the management of the fleet because there was no unitary agreement on servicing the existing equipment. Moreover, productivity was affected by the old fleet and the reactive way to place orders for consumables. The challenges of the customer consisted in – high maintenance costs of equipment from different producers and of different generations, long times of fault repair, lack of a report on the print workload” pointed out Gabriel Manga, Business Unit Manager Image&Print, ETA2U. 

The company turned to the experts of ETA2U, one of Xerox's strategic partners within the XPPS (Xerox® Partner Print Services) program and decided to implement multiple changes. "The Company wanted an infusion of technology capable of meeting the current business needs, but also to eliminate equipment downtime in the production area", said Florin Sudor, Xerox Partner Print Services Manager, Xerox Romania. “Moreover, the objective was to get real-time access to the data related to the equipment fleet and to be able to constantly supervise the print activity.” 

Consequently - the existing fleet of the company was replaced by over 100 pieces of cutting-edge Xerox equipment. For print jobs in the production environment the choice was Xerox Phaser 4622, a printer that offers speed, flexibility and the most competitive cost per page, without compromising the print quality. 

Furthermore, for the office environment ETA2U's engineers chose Xerox equipment capable of meeting the current business needs and which could generate cost reductions. 

Results 
Following the solution implemented by ETA2U in partnership with XEROX - the company is now enjoying a productivity growth with respect to the printing activity, cost reductions and end-user satisfaction improvement thanks to the implementation of the customized solutions of equipment fleet management. Moreover, the company was enrolled in the Xerox Device Agent program, a software that monitors 24x24x7 the equipment fleet and sends automatically the consumable orders and service signals, thus eliminating downtime.
